Project Overview: Video Production for Moncler Genius Event, LED Video Installation
Client: Villa Eugenie/Moncler
My Role: Cinematography, Video Editing, Post-production, Motion Design
Key Skills & Tools: Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects
Deliverables: 3 Videos showcasing the show's artistic direction, social media cutdowns, video content shown on LED panels in the common spaces
I was tasked to produce a set of videos for Villa Eugenie, one of the biggest creative agencies in event production. The work included conceptualizing, filming and post production of a series of videos from the Moncler Genius event during Milan Fashion Week. Additionally, the project included developing video mapping content for more than 50 LED screens at the event.
Moncler Genius 2020 event in Milan showcased 12 designer collaborations with Moncler, each given its own room or installation, while the common areas featured multiple LED screens, several bars and a dancefloor.
Villa Eugenie, the agency producing the event, tasked me with creating video material featuring every designer installation, as well as capturing the overall mood of the event.
To achieve this while maintaining the timing and efficiency, I suggested dividing the material in three distinct clips, based on the three moods present at the event: Dystopian, Color and Future. This allowed for a coherent presentation of all the spaces using the sound design and editing in line with the visuals.
In addition to the filming, editing and post production of the video showcase for the event, I created, edited and coordinated the videomapping material for more than 50 LED screens placed throughout the event.
The event featured a separate, long-awaited collaboration between Moncler and Rick Owens, presented in a custom tour bus that made a stop in Milan for the night. The Moncler + Rick Owens collection included ready-to-wear pieces designed for Owens and his wife, Michèle Lamy. A separate video clip showcasing the bus and the collection was created by me for Villa Eugenie.
