For the brand's second collection under the creative direction of Romain Kremer, Camper contacted me to create a campaign preview video, to be included in the social media campaign of the brand.
The footage shot on location was re-purposed and modified by me using digital and practical effects.
The video is based on the interplay between different types of visual distortion, both digital, such as compression and color artifacts, and analog, like the noise created by video tape recording and playback. In order to achieve authentic distortion effects, a variety of equipment was used, including vintage CRT televisions, a VHS camera and a videotape recorder.
In addition to a preview video, a Making-of video was created, featuring behind the scenes shots of the production. Both were published on multiple social media networks before the official campaign was released worldwide.
