Project Overview: Layout Design and Art Direction for a Publication by Leipzig University

Des Kaiserreichs Neue Kleider is a publication exploring the fashion trends in Habsburg empire from a historical perspective, published within the framework of the Interwoven Cultural History(ies) seminar at the Chair of Modern Cultural and Intellectual History of Leipzig University, and produced within the framework of the European Research Council project Opera and the Politics of Empire in Habsburg Europe, 1815–1914.
For this project, my responsibilities included developing the page layout, retouching and integrating graphic design elements, as well as creating a cohesive identity for the publication as a whole. Additionally, I was tasked with the cover design, typography, and restoration and retouching of the source images used in the publication.
