In 2020 I was invited to Dubai to document the construction of EXPO 2020, the biggest fair on the planet and one of the largest development projects in the region at the moment. The Expo was build from scratch on a sprawling 438-hectare area between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. My subject was the Al Wasl Plaza, the central square of the exposition. Al Wasl Plaza's massive dome is tall enough to fit the Leaning Tower of Pisa under it. The inner surface of the dome transforms into a 360-degree projection screen, illuminated by more than 250 projectors.
