I was commissioned to design the new logo and brand identity for Prefe, an Italian startup that assists individuals in navigating grocery store pricing. Additionally, I developed the logo for Prefe Business Intelligence, which empowers FMCG brands with real-time insights on pricing and distribution across over 2,000 retail locations in Italy.
My work included developing the logo and the general brand guidelines from the ground up, working closely with the founders, making sure the creative direction is aligned with their vision for the brand. Custom typography was used, based on an existing character set, ensuring legibility and visual impact of the wordmark.
The logo features a stylized shopping bag, effectively conveying the startup’s primary focus in a universally comprehensible manner. Simultaneously, it maintains flexibility and adaptability, accommodating diverse sizes and ratios. Additionally, the project aimed to future-proof the branding, enabling future expansion based on additional uses and placements.
